Fall Conference 2023

Our Climate Futures: Equity & Inclusion at the Center

Climate change is upon us, but not all of its impacts will affect people equally. Research and experience of climate events show that low-income communities, people of color, indigenous people, people with disabilities, very young and old people, and women are disproportionately impacted. Therefore, the goal of this two-day conference is to  invite conversations among Duluth community members, UMD faculty, and students to identify and discuss solutions to the adverse social, economic, public health, and environmental issues related to climate change while centering those who are and will be most impacted.
